San Ramon, CA – With charitable donations to non-profit organizations down due to the current economic slump, Comcast is doing what it can in California to loosen the squeeze being felt by area non-profits. Comcast has launched the Comcast Community Partners, a new signature program that provides eligible non-profit organizations with discounted Comcast Business Services including Comcast Business Class Internet, TV and Voice services.

“Comcast Community Partners is a natural extension of our community investment efforts,” said Steve White, Comcast’s Regional Senior Vice President for California. “This program gives non-profit organizations that perform vital work to strengthen our communities technology solutions that save time, increase productivity and offer more value. Comcast Community Partners gives non-profit entities the ability to have an even greater impact in California.”

The Comcast Community Partners discount program is available to non-profit organizations that reside in Comcast-serviceable areas and that demonstrate status as an IRS 501c(3) non-profit and sign up for Comcast Business Class Internet and Comcast Business Class TV.  A Comcast Community Partner that signs up for the two services will receive $35 to $45 off the total monthly service cost.  Organizations that also receive Comcast Business Class Voice will save an additional $10 per phone line per month. The yearly savings to a Comcast Community Partner ranges from $420 to $540—depending on which services are purchased.

As part of the Comcast Community Partner program, Comcast will assist the non-profit organization in identifying which business services and solutions best suit its communications needs. In addition, Comcast provides around-the-clock business-class customer support so non-profit owners can focus on the needs of their communities.

“Comcast Community Partners provides participating non-profits with the opportunity to save on their communications solutions and direct valuable resources toward supporting their community objectives,” added White.

Non-profit organizations that are interested in the discount program should complete the on-line application at http://comcastnorcal.mediaroom.com . If you have any questions, please e-mail : Comcast_NonProfitProgram@cable.comcast.com. All applying non-profits will be notified once they have been determined to be eligible for the service discount program.
