Providing more live sports, more national championships, and more digital innovations to connect XFINITY customers and Pac-12 fans to their favorite teams everywhere
Comcast XFINITY TV announced today that it is offering another opportunity for customers to watch even more live sports. As of August 15, XFINITY TV customers can access two new Pac-12 Networks in California: Pac-12 Bay Area (a regional network which will feature games from Cal and Stanford) and the Pac-12 Network (national feed), which will feature contests from all 12 schools in the conference.
“Comcast is committed to offering the best content to our customers across multiple platforms and the Pac-12 Networks are a great example of this,” said Lars Lofas, Vice President of Product Management for Comcast’s West Division. “We’re thrilled to provide our customers with more options for accessing a wide variety of sports and compelling programs 24-hours a day. This is a college sports fan’s dream.”
Pac-12 Bay Area’s standard-definition (SD) feed will be available on Channel 433* and Pac-12 Bay Area’s high-definition (HD) feed will be available on Channel 823** in California. Pac-12 Bay Area will be available at the Digital Starter level and above in the San Francisco Bay Area, and at the Digital Preferred level and above in the remaining California systems (including Central California cities, Santa Maria, Fairfield, Rio Vista, Travis AFB, Vacaville, Santa Cruz**, Salinas and Monterey).
The second new channel from the conference will be the Pac-12 Network (national feed), which will be available on Channel 434 in all but a handful of Comcast California systems as part of the Sports & Entertainment Package.
The networks are dedicated solely to the Pac-12 and will include more than 30 football games, more than 120 men’s basketball games and at least five women’s basketball games annually. In addition, they will showcase hundreds of events, offer classic games, studio shows, feature stories and highlights from activities across 12 university campuses. In addition, XFINITY TV customers may watch Pac-12 Network content online (live streaming of games) inside and outside of their homes on any digital device, including computers, smartphones and tablets.
